The workshop will bring together scholars from various disciplines and countries interested in sustainable mobility. We encourage presentations of completed research, work in progress, as well as examples of practice and implementation.

Suggested Topics

Papers on any topic relevant to transition toward sustainable mobility are welcome. Topics of special interest include:

  • Transitions towards more sustainable transport energy consumption and emissions
  • Transitions towards more integrated land-use and transport strategies
  • Influencing attitudes and changing behaviour in transitions towards sustainable mobility
  • Evaluating transitions to sustainable mobility
  • Appraising policies for transitions towards sustainable mobility
  • Identifying the role of politics in transitions towards more sustainable transport policies
  • Identifying how institutional processes can affect transitions towards more sustainable transport policies

Those interested in presenting a paper are invited to send an abstract of 500-1000 words by email to the cluster co-chairs by 1 February 2008. Papers will be selected according to the quality of the abstract and relevance to the workshop theme.
